The Stumpon Tribe
Deep in the heart of the Tower Grove forest we happened upon an undiscovered wood-age tribe.

The tribe was apprehensive at the sight of us at first, having never seen any other people besides themselves…

… but soon they saw we were no threat and introduced us to their chieftain:

Despite the language barrier we were able to glean that they were a peaceful group of subsistence farmers, not even having a word for war.

The area they lived in is considered too harsh and barren for most, and the hardships they have weathered show on their sun and rain battered faces.

Still, they have found a way to live off this land and raise their families in peace and harmony.

Each member of the tribe was highly valued and filed a very specific role. This fellow’s job was to gather the water for the evening ceremonial baths:

We left the village having made some new friends, but even more we had found a little bit of ourselves in the tribe; they are a visage into our not so distant past.

May they live in peace and harmony with nature, and may we all learn from them how to regain balance and joy in our daily lives.
