Ancient Googly Basilicas

Little known fact: In ancient Rome it was not uncommon for the basilicas to be decorated with googly eyes.
This really proves how advanced ancient Roman architecture was for its time. Look how well crafted each googly eye is; great quality even for today’s standards.
If not for the fall of the Roman Empire, who knows how far advanced googly technologies would be by now?
